Again! We were conquered new mountain again this morning. This hill called Bukit Tirig which located at Telipok-Tuaran. Following by the viral from facebook and that’s why make us here. As usual, I was planned this journey with hiking buddies for our monthly activity. First time attempted this new hiking place, to avoid from lost with searching the way reaching there through people blogspot and also been called the person whose incharge the Bukit Tirig, Mr. Steve. Untill now, many people still wondering how to go there! It’s quite easy if you follow Jalan Rugading rather than using Jalan Salut. Once you passed by roundabout from Politeknik, go straight is Jalan Rugading. You will see the first junction of your left side that have plugged St. Flora Catholic Church signboard, turn in. After that, you will passed by the smelly rubbish factory. Go ahead, you will saw village housing both side untill you found the white color bustop. It have a signboard before the bustop showing the way to Tirig on your right side. Turn to the right junction and go ahead untill you saw the coconut tree at your left side which also been plugged the way to Tirig signboard too. You were arrived the starting point of Bukit Tirig. Park your car along the side way which have any space for it.
The journey of Bukit Tirig took almost half an hour to the top. You will through the cross trail, forest, dry trees, yellow sand and long hill grass along the way up. This trail almost same with Bukit Gundul trail but only using short time reach to the top. At the top, you can enjoy beautiful view of Tuaran district. The hill is surrounded with the dry grasses and trees. Here’s the capture of the journey along the way up to Bukit Tirig with my buddies.
